The Civil-Military Operations School envisions itself to become a center for academic excellence conducive to learning that will serve as the Philippine Army’s primary source of CMO Professionals.
We aim, not only to provide CMO training to our soldiers, but to ensure that these trainings will equip the students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to become efficient and effective CMO Professionals who are capable of advising, planning, and executing CMO.
With this vision in mind, the CMO School has been focusing its efforts in taking the necessary steps to improve the training and services that we offer to our students.

One of the most important concerns that our students raised in the previous training cycles was the condition of the school facilities, especially the classroom, the barracks, course laboratories, toilets, and bathrooms. Poor ventilation, crammed rooms, and leaking roofs are just some of the problems that have affected the students during their training. An environment conducive to learning must be able to provide comfort and focus to our students, and this can only be provided by ensuring that the school facilities are in good condition. Thus, over the past months, we have been working on repairing the facilities especially the classrooms and barracks.

Aside from the repair and maintenance of the school facilities, the CMO School is also upgrading the equipment needed to support the training requirements, particularly the school vehicles, computers and the radio broadcasting system. We are also planning on establishing a speech laboratory for the skills development of the students. These equipment will help provide better opportunities for our students to develop their skills and apply their theories into practice, especially in developing communication materials and reaching out to the public through radio programs and interviews.
As CMO School amplifies its services, we also embark in strengthening the Research and Doctrine Development Branch of the school to conduct research studies that would help improve and update the school’s curriculum to adapt with the ever changing environment.
We are working on improving the learning system design of the school to ensure that the students will be able to maximize their learning. We have developed a system that will ensure an organized and systematized practicals and exercises for all three courses from start to end of the training cycle.

Moreover, we have recently established the knowledge management system of the school to ensure that knowledge is not lost, regardless of the change in personnel line-up or unexpected situations when some of the school’s personnel are unavailable. We also aim to improve the teaching skills, class management, and handling of the courses by providing our personnel with the appropriate seminars and trainings such as the Instructor Development Training.
All of these things are geared to provide quality training in order to support the mission of CMOR(P) and the Army, thereby amplifying CMO.
